Hey guys.

Got a question for those who know about Custom Shops etc.

1) I'd like a BoP, but with a custom paintjob, based on the Green or Red Flame and Thoraic (shoot me for wrong spelling). Is that possible?
2) IF that would be possible, do you need to have a drawing present? Or can you discuss your idea with the artist in the shop and work it out together?
3) Can they customize already-built guitars? Say I buy an import, can they repaint it to my will?
4) If not, what would you guys suggest? Getting that Custom USA BoP 100% DBZ built or go the cheaper way by buying an import and let a painter do the repainting instead?

If you have a custom shop where you live they should be able to customize any guitar you bring to them without any problem. They should be more than happy to sit down with you to go over what you want. If they don't then I would not use them.

Well, I want the guitar itself to be a DBZ, this way I'm sure it's quality. And I "know" of only 1 in the area, but he does only the typical bodies I've heard from the local dealer (Les Paul, Strat, Tele, ...).
And the paintjob HAS to be very, VERY good, since I want a lot of detail in it. With correct shadowing etc. And if you let somebody do it, and you dislike it, there's a big chance that they charge you for it, so yeah... I want to be sure I get what I'll pay for. I'm sure you understand wink.gif

But this is a plan for the future though

Best choice is probably to go through the dbz custom shop then.

Okay

But would they also customize existing guitars?
Well, not that it really matters, because, if I would get myself that custom paint job, I'd prefer to have that USA headstock, also custom painted.

They won't customize existing guitars, the only ones who would do that would be a local custom shop.

Damn
Oh well, Custom USA it is then wink.gif
Howmuch would that cost for a BoP with a custom paint job? 4 to 5k?

I would probably guess around 3-4 but if your going to spent that much you might as well customize everything else as well.

Price ain't too bad, guess I'll "invest" a bit more to make a trip there.
And yeah, customizing the rest ain't a bad idea, although I don't know much about what to take.
But by that time... hah tongue.gif

Thanks mate!
