Well, Dean sent me a new guitar. Another lemon.

Screwed up logo, black chrome hardware, chewed up bridge pickup cavity, loose trem posts, the same problems as my other one (minues the logo and hardware)

Wicked Lame.

How the Hell does something like that even pass inspection?

Sounds like an easy fix to me, personally. Replace the hardware, smooth out the cavity, redo up the posts, and re-paint the logo. Really though, someone already said it .. how the f*** does this pass inspection? I see "inspected by" all over Dean gits but my history with them is if one's got something bad they usually leave it up the customer to send it back. Where do all the bad inspected Deans go?

Not trying to bash Dean, I've never got a bad one so far. turned.gif

I got my FBD in 2005. I think it was before all the problems. Ive never had a problem with it and there wasnt a flaw on it when I got it new, I was blown away. ah.. how long ago that was...

England I believe they go.

You want me to do all that to a brand spanking new guitar? You're out of your mind. I thoroughly refuse to do that to a guitar that should have all that done already. Who fucks up the logo, honestly?

That's lame as hell that they sent you another fugged up guitar. You'd think that with the exposure on the board they'd atleast give a little extra effort and make damn sure they sent you a near perfect guitar.

Elliott IS a cool guy... but I think he needs to know about a few things.

We don't know if he's happy passing on some stuff, or if it's someone else and he's not being told, or no one is simply noticing.

Be polite and tell him your problem again and tell him you're disappointed in the quality.

Good god, were both of these screwed up DFH's made in 2008? I had one from Feb. 2006 that was freakin' amazing. Even when I had it, I had no idea it was made in China. I thought it was Korean. It was pretty much perfect and the playability and fretwork were on par with anything American made. That guitar and a Korean Dime-O-Flame got stolen out of my office and I replaced them with a USA DFH. To be perfectly honest, while the USA DFH is a super nice, very well built guitar...... it's really not that much better than the Chinese DFH I had. CNC machines do nice work but they can't replicate the neck and rolled binding feel of a real vintage USA Dean.

the first was an 06

The second is an 08.

The 08 plays a lot better but has many many many many cosmetic flaws along with the same loose post issue as my first one.

Dean said they got the second batch in and would send me pictures (4 days ago after I pestered them with emails) I'm gonna try and get an OFR on this one for the trouble and BS. They're putting OFR's on splittails, the vendetta, the triviums all except the later cost less thant he DFH and the DFH is a lisc bridge. BS thanks.
