Wow, that's something else!! I love the way the black surface around the outside looks a bit like a marble floor, really classy! (that is, unless that's just the logo sitting on a marble floor, but nonetheless)

The DBZ Mondial FM... I'm going to get it if I have to swim over to the states and paddle back using the box as a rowing boat!!!

I was thinking the same thing. Why pay 3000 for a guitar that looks beat up when you can pay under 800 for a brand new shiny single cut guitar that looks alot better.

yeah the prices are rediculous. I'm also really not impressed with Gibson build quality. If I got a gibby it would probably have to be very old to get one I like, and even then they have a lot of 3 piece tops and such. Prices for a nice vintage LP are insane. I think a lot of the tone people always rave about comes from the electronics and the player moreso than the wood anyways so I'm not prepared to pay for a name on the headstock.

You can buy a 30 year old japanese built LP of greater or equal quality to its gibson counterpart and it's under 1000 easily. Sounds pretty damn close in the comparison videos on youtube as well.

well between you and me and the trees and the rest of the forum I just ordered a gibson burstbucker, a dimarzio super 3, and a lace for the neck position. I also ordered some gibson pots and some other nice stuff for the electronics. So the $150 ebay kit guitar I'm waiting on is either going to get a gibby pickup, or a nice dimarzio. so we'll see what that sounds like. Of course the finished product will not look anywhere near as killer as the bolero.

Sweet thumbsup.gif You should shave down the neck to make it thinner like a true guitar guy tongue.gif
