Thanks
Compared it, Carlino is still cheaper due to the euro/dollar course.
Carlino: 682,05€
Thomann: 845€
But Thomann (if I read correctly) includes the shipping while Carlino doesn't.

Let's hope they get in Belgium by 2010...

Yes, Thomann ships for free above €199.

And don't forget about the import taxes when you buy in the USA (about 25% of the value + shipping), even if it's sent as a 'gift'.

According to The Music Farm, there are ways around it... And they take those ways thumbsup.gif
Anywayz, I'm not gonna buy it any time soon. Got some other expenses first, and I'm probably getting pedals before a new axe.
By the way, if you're interested, Keymusic gives discounts at the end of the month. wink.gif

There are not, they may lower a bit the value but you get killed by customs fees, i know it for direct experiences.

Anyway, a very good news would be a lefthanded BoP ! ;-)

Really?
There's no way it could get shipping without all those extra ---- costs?
(No, I'm not flying there...)
Goddamnit, what a waste of money...
I'm gonna wait here 'till DBZ opens a European facility teehee.gif
So expect me DBZ-less 'till I have a long, white beard!

Have you looked into what it would cost to get one from the states and what the taxes would actually be. 25% seems high.

Yeah, it's high allright, but aren't there ways to get passed them?
Anywayz, I'm waiting on news from different stores.
If it's impossible to get it from the US due to high costs, I'm gonna get it from Thomann, open borders, so no fees for that.
Might check the guy that sold my Dean via via as well (France).

It's 21% taxes + extra administration costs.
I bought 3 Deans in the USA the past few years and it's always around €110-140 on a €400 guitar.

And then there's the waiting....
My last guitar was in customs for over a month. verymad.gif

Hm...
Another way to cut the taxes a bit: send them over to people in lower taxes countries? Such as Holland. And get them there...
Only works if you have friends there or you can trust those people though...
Oh well, guess it's Germany for me...

If only the "666" number would've been lower...
Haha biggrin.gif

I rang the taxman about something guitar-related a while ago - I was planning on buying a Taylor in NYC and flying it back to the UK - and apparently they charge a percentage import duty based on value plus shipping and insurance, then add 17.5% VAT on the total figure, so it works out at nearly 30%.

So I abandoned the idea. Otherwise there'd already be a Cavallo on it's way to me.

It's probably worth scouting around EU countries, once they're in the EU there shouldn't be any more taxes, and as has been stated, initial import taxes do vary a lot.
